Digital evidence examiners are not required to attend Mobile Forensics,
Inc. courses
to enroll in the MFCE process, however it is highly recommended.
Those
MFCE
candidates not attending MFI courses must provide documentation they
have
successfully
completed:
-
a basic and
-
advanced course in cellular data extraction.
Acceptable basic courses include: Mobile Forensics 101 (MFI), BK Forensics 101,
Paraben’s Handheld Forensic Course, Search, etc.
Acceptable advanced courses include
Mobile Forensics 202 (MFI), Paraben, or others.
Students who have attended the MFI 202 course will receive a voucher that enables them
to enter the process at a reduced rate, bypass the initial proficiency exam, and receive
assistance from an e-coach to complete each project.
MFCE candidates who have not
attended the MFI 202 course will be assigned an e-coach but must pass a proficiency
exam with a score of eighty five (85) percent or better to begin the process.
